I like to cook, but I seem to have settled on biscuits and soups as my specialities.

I like biscuits because they can't fall flat like a cake, and they're easy to share with people. If there are more people you just divide the mix into smaller pieces. No one's going to complain about a small biscuit if it looks like you can have more than one.

The same goes for soup I guess. I find it hard to go wrong with soup. I've never heard of an over-cooked soup and there are few pre-conceived ideas about the amount of soup each person should be served.
