Specially night train is very comfortable in bed car with hot shower.

Santa Claus Express
Every night the special train, so called Santa Claus Express, departs from Helsinki central station to Rovaniemi (about 1000 km) and takes 12 hours. One departs from Helsinki on 7:24 p.m., arrive at Rovaniemi on 7:49 a.m. Other from Helsinki on 10:30 p.m., at Rovaniemi on 10:58 a.m. in next day. Those are running for seven days a week. Ticket price is about 10000 Yen per person for one way as a first class Twin bed car. If you buy a round trip ticket, there is 5 % discount. Also you can use Finrail pass, Sandinavian rail pass or any type of Europian rail pass. But you should have 1st class pass to use night train bed car. And there is small extra charge for bed car user. More specific price please ask travel agency in Japan.

Santa Claus Village
It's located in 8km north of Rovaniemi in Finland.
You can use local bus to go Santa Claus village.

Reindeer Driving Lisence
You can get reindeer driving lisence at Rovaniemi on Lapland.
Once you get, it's valided in 5 years. It is just 2000 Yen.
Why don't you try? Not only that, a lot of Outdoor sports wait for you.
Ski, Snow-mobile, Santa Claus Health Center and etc.

AURORA (Northern Light)
Northern Light is the one of the beautiful mother nature's
masterpiece. Scientist said it's miracle so far, but they will try to find
out when it will be appear and where exactly. But Lapland people said
there is the most high possibility to see Northern Light, if you come
Lapland on April and MAY or September and October after dark.
Before go to Lapland, let's see what Northern Light (Aurora) is.

Spa (Finnish Sauna)
After tight schedule of trip, You can relax with Finnish Sauna.
Specially from fall to spring with chilly blowing wind,
we will forget our tight daytime schedule. People said Sauna
start from finland! There is also a bunch of beauty care package
for lady with fairly cheap price at Sauna Resort in whole Finland.
I think this is great news for all ladies in Japan.

B & B, Motel, Hotel and Youth Hostel at Rovaniemi in Finland
Rovaniemi has various choices accomodation. Price for one night stay in double bed per person is about 5000 Yen in three star Hotel or B & B included in breakfirst. Sometimes they service Finnish Sauna for free. Reservation from Japan is accepted by e-mail or fax in english or after arrive Helsinki just call them in 1-2 days advanced. Generally you need Name, Address, Telephone/Fax number, Date of arriving, Date of departure, Room type(single or Double) and Number of guest. to make a reservation. Payment is Cash or Credit card when you check in. Some pick time (December & Janurary) you will be requested advanced payment by Credit card when you make a reservation from Japan.
