Kahala Mall, the Pride of East Honolulu

 

The pride of East Honolulu, Kahala Mall has 90 shops and restaurants to suite your needs. By far Kahala is a popular choice mall for local residents, particularly of the teenage and younger crowds. If you're young Kahala has everything you could ask for. A majority of its shops are catored toward the local and younger crowd. The mall includes big name Department stores like Liberty House and popular clothing stores such as Town and Country Surf, Body Shop, Banana Republic and the Gap and other popular shops like Sanrio Surprises. Kahala Mall also boasts a branch of Barnes and Noble and Tower Records. Their is no lack of name stores at Kahala Mall. The daily crowd at Kahala
Kahala Food Court Kahala also houses numerous restaurants, most prominently California Pizza Kitchen and Steck's. Steck's is a popular restaurant in East Honolulu which also features premiere local entertainment during dinner time. Within the center of the mall surrounding center stage is also Kahala mini food court which features Starbuck's Coffee among others.
Kahala Mall is also home to the popular Kahala 8-plex Theatres. This theatre is owned and operated by Consolidated Theatres. Being an 8-plex it normally has all the biggest movies playing. Weekends are always crowded at the Kahala 8-plex. Kahala 8-Plex Theatres
Center Stage at Kahala Mall There is always action at Center Stage Kahala. Regular performances by top local musicians, halaus and other entertainers are common at Kahala's Center Stage. Recently international action superstar Jackie Chan became a part of the long list of celebrities and entertainers to grace Kahala's center stage

 

Kahala Mall's hours are from 10am till 9pm on Monday through Saturday and from 10am till 5pm on Sundays.


Directions

If you're driving out of Waikiki you can get to Kahala Mall by getting onto the H-1 Freeway East bound. Stay on H-1 west until you come to the "Wai'alae Ave" cutoff. Take the cut-off and stay in the right hand lane. Kahala Mall will be on your right hand side.

If you're going by bus you need to get back into town or up to King Street. Once on King Street transfer to the #1 route which will take you to Kahala Mall.
