The Pearl Highlands Center originally opened with the O'ahu branch of the mainland Sam's Club franchise, located at the bottom of the Pearl Highlands Center. Sam's Club is just one of the popular mainland discount chains on O'ahu. Also located on O'ahu are two Costcos, one in Salt Lake and one in Hawai'i Kai; two Walmarts, one in Waipahu at Royal Kunia, one in Mililani and three K-Marts, one in Salt Lake, one in Waikele and one in Kalihi.
Pearl Highlands is also home to the new and popular Signature Theatres. These Theatres are just over a year old and draw huge crowds on weekends. The appeal of this Theatre is its comfortable stadium style seating with airline type seats. | |
Another popular venue at the Pearl Highlands Center is the Leeward Branch of Ultrazone Laser Tag. This branch, along with the original branch at the 'Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki are the two locations on O'ahu for Laser Tag fun. Ultrazone is another popular entertainment spot for people looking for Laser tag excitement. |
If you're driving out of Waikiki you can get to Pearl Highlands by getting onto the H-1 Freeway West bound. Stay on H-1 west until you come to the "Pearl City cut-off." Take the cut-off and stay in the right hand lane, you're now on Kam Hghwy. Stay on Kam Hghwy and it will take you to Pearl Highlands. It will be on your right hand side.
If you're going by bus you can take the number #47 as it will take you pass Pearl Highlands. You can also go back to Ala Moana by taking the #19, 20 or 47 on Kuhio Avenue and transfer to any 'Ewa bound country bus that passes Pearl Highlands. The 'Ewa bound buses are routes # 48, 49, 50, and 52.
