Pearlridge, the Pride of 'Aiea

The pride of 'Aiea and Pearl City, Pearlridge mainly attracts residents from the Leeward and Central districts of O'ahu. By far Pearlridge is the choice mall for local residents, particularly of the teenage and younger crowds. If you're young Pearlridge has everything you could ask for. A majority of it's shops are catored toward the younger crowd. Pearlridge boosts a roster of popular stores as Sears, Liberty House, JC Penney's, Ross Dress for Less, Kaybee Toy Stores, Toys R Us, Circuit City, the Footlocker and the Disney Store among its 170 plus stores and restaurants.
Pearlridge West Theatres Pearlridge is a prime source for entertainment. It is home to two theatre plexes, the Pearlridge West located on the second floor of Pearlridge Downtown, and the old Pearl Ridge 4-Plex, located street level outside the mall. Weekends are always crowded at the Pearlridge Theatres.
Pearlridge is also a prime site for some of the best in local entertainment. Established as well as upcoming local musicians, along with popular national recording artists, perform regularly at the centerstages both at Pearlridge Uptown and Downtown. Center stage, Pearlridge Uptown

 

Pearlridge also boosts two arcades. Pearlridge Downtown houses a branch of the popular Fun Factory. Hawai'i's largest and most popular chain of arcades. Pearlridge Uptown houses Tilt another popular arcade.

The Mall is divided into several components spread out over several blocks. Starting on the Diamond Head end across of Pali Momi Street is the Theatre Center which houses the Pearlridge 4-Plex. The main mall area features two separate buildings, which is for all practicality two malls, Pearlridge Downtown and Pearlridge Uptown. Beyond Uptown sits the Convenience Center which houses Circuit City and several other stores including Starbuck's Coffee.


Downtown and Uptown

Pearlridge Downtowntown sits closest to Pali Momi street and features shops such as Sears, Kaybee Toys, Royal Hawaiian Heritage, Cosmic Candy, HIC, Sam Goody's Music, Body Shop, Wet Seal and Champs Sports. Downtown also features the key entertainment centers at Pearlridge including the Pearlridge West Theatres and the Fun Factory arcade. Pearlridge Uptown and its daily crowd Pearlridge Uptown sits across the main parking lot from Downtown. Uptown boosts more shops including Liberty House, JC Penney, Shirokiya, Waldenbooks, Software Etc, The Gap, Crazy Shirts, Town and Country, Coda, Jeans Warehouse and Contempo Casuals. Uptown also features the Tilt arcade and its neighboring food court. The Centerstage at Uptown also features regular performances by local musicians and visiting musicians. National recording artists such as 4pm have graced Pearlridge Uptown's centerstage.
For a fee of $0.25 shoppers can cruise in style between Downtown and Uptown via the "Sky Cab" monorail. The monorail is a long time fixture at Pearlridge and is popular among island residents. The monorail makes it trips back and forth every 7 to 10 minutes. Courtesy Carts are also available to give shoppers a ride around the mall, to their cars and back. Pearlridge Monorail takes shoppers back and forth between Downtown and Uptown
Dozens of great restaurants at Pearlridge Pearlridge also restaurants many great restaurants including California Pizza Kitchen at Pearlridge Downtown, Dennys, Banditos and Shanghai Restaurant by Pearlridge 4-plex, Zippy's fronting Pearlridge Downtown, Sizzler's on Moanalua Road, Wikiwiki Drive Inn by Circuit City and Anna Miller's near Circuit City, a long time island favorite. Anna Miller's is open 24 hours.

 

Combined Pearlridge has over 170 shops and restaurants to entertain you. A day at Pearlridge will be anything but lacking. Pearlridge is open daily, from 10am to 9pm on Mondays through Saturdays and from 10am to 6pm on Sundays.


Directions

If you're driving out of Waikiki you can get to Pearlridge by getting onto the H-1 Freeway West bound. Stay on H-1 west until you come to the "'Aiea/Pearlridge cut-off." Take the cut-off and stay in the left hand lane, you're now on Kam Hghwy. Stay on Kam Hghwy and it will take you to Pearlridge.

If you're going by bus you can take the number #20 and 47 as they will take you to Pearlridge. You can also go back to Ala Moana by taking the #19, 20 or 47 on Kuhio Avenue and transfer to any 'Ewa bound country bus as they all go to Pearlridge. The 'Ewa bound buses are routes #11, 48, 49, 50, 52, 53 and 54.
