Bicycles & Motorcycles are made for Two (or Three or Four)
The humble bicycle still serves as a major form of transport for many Chinese and you will see that they are put to good use. Motorised transport has taken hold in all parts of China and the ubiquitous motorcycle (and scooter) is favoured by those who are unable to afford a car but want to get around faster and with a little more panache.
In the first picture the rider is using his mobile phone (a blow to etiquette not to say dangerous) while still in motion and it is common to see up to 4 people on these machines or one fully laden with goods or a carcass of meat.
