Note the no socks fashion statement. With just a pair of shoes between us we had to take it in turns to wear shoes one day and socks the next. If you told the kids today what we went through, they'd never believe you. (Monty Python fans would recognise that statement - 4 Yorkshiremen.)
* suckling - unweaned child.
Me and my bruvver ready for skule outside the "shop" in Catford for all you Londoners. We were just a stone's throw from the infamous Mr. Smith's Nightclub in Rushey Green High Street.
Halcyon Days at Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham Boys' School
The best days of our lives or they were supposed to be. Can you recognise the short arse in the school rugby and cricket teams? Where are all me school mates now.
Long live Che. Days when I had some hair to spare. Was backpacking it round Europe before the ubiquitous Lonely Planet guide books became de rigeur for today's travellers. If Lonely Planet has a book about any place then it's probably too late visiting there.
