Downtown Charleston was a surprise to me. A very historic city. A city ordinance prevents any builing from being taller than the church steeples. (St. Philip's Episcopal Church shown). Very neat and well-kept. Horse-drawn carriages everywhere. Walking tours are also popular. Well worth a trip.
