Welcome to my updates page, here you can find updates for my website and the Redwall reading world. 6/16/03 - I've just revamped the old Great Hall with an activity. Check it out! 6/12/03 - Congratulations to Bella of Brockhall, winner of Battle Season 8! She becomes the first member to win two battle seasons! 4/26/03 - No new activity this month., due to BS7. Speaking of which, congratulations to BS7 Champion Keyla, who defeated Philippi in the final battle for the 300 point prize. Also, I've made a load of changes to the Battle Season process, which will become effective in BS8. 3/14/03 - I'm trying to create one new activity each month. This month is the sequel to January's Infirmary Antidote Quest. Procede to the Cellar to see more! 2/11/03 - The abbey reached several milestones since the last updats page update. Most recently, today the abbey reached the 500 member mark, with Velt being our 500th member! Also, last week the Redwall University surpassed 500 exams graded in its short existence. Hehe, and I've still got to get to the rest sitting in my inbox... Last, but not least, Pawflash's Redwall Abbey currently sits atop the Redwall Top 100 with over 400 votes, averaging eight votes a day, and well above the number two site. Keep the votes coming, I certainly appreciate them ;) 1/25/03 - Such an active new year it has been! The forum now has over 40,000 posts, the abbey is 19 members short of 500, and the Redwall University is 6 exams short of 500 graded. And to top it off, I've redone the infirmary and added a cool new quest! I hope you all enjoy it! 1/3/03 - Happy New Year! The Abbey has been a busy place of late, as always, but especially so with BS6 coming to it's completion today. Congratulations to Treeclimber on being the Champion of this sixth battle season. Congratulations are also due to the first, second, and third runners up: Tyra, Moonrock, and Sabriel, respectively. 11/29/02 - November has been busy month on the site, celebrating it's second anniversary as a club and all. If you hadn't noticed, the members only area is gone and replaced by the Role Plaing Games area. Also a few minor browsing changes have been made with specific references to the 'Roster' and 'Join the Abbey!' pages. Also BS6 sign-up and game dates have been released. 10/30/02 - It's been a busy month on the site and in real life. The Brockhall area has been up for a while, but just today The Great Seas joined it in the Into Mossflower area of the site. There's a new contest, one celebrating the Abbey's fourth birthday (which passed on October 13) and the Abbey's second anniversary as a club (coming on November 1st). Shadow was crowned the Role Playing Tournament Champion in the forum and the abbey's 400th member has joined (current total is 413 members.) Like I said, very busy... 9/14/02 - RTP2 has finally come to a conclusion! Nearly three months of quizzes, quests and battles led up to the final battle of Matthias vs. Sabriel in the Northern Mountains. Sabriel managed to defeat Matthias in the battle found here, claiming the title of RTP2 Champion and the 388 point prize, making her the first member to pass the 3000 point mark! Congratulations!! 8/3/02 - RTP2 is well under way, in fact only about half of the starting competitors are left. The site received a new award today, from Snowspine at the Redwall Compendium. 7/2/02 - Sabriel once again reclaimed the title of "Abbey Champion". *Yawn* This has happened quite a few times now... ;-) 6/8/02 - REDWALL UNIVERSITY IS UP!!! It's my biggest project ever and I hope everyone enjoys it. 6/6/02 - As usual, the updates page is one of the least updated pages in the abbey. Now you know why I don't put the "Updates" on the main page...Anyhow, congratulations are due to the winner of BS5 and new Abbey Champion, Bella of Brockhall. She surpasses Sabriel by 15 points with her score of 2137. Congratulations! 5/1/02 - Been quiet of late, but I've kept updating. There's a new Fanfic section (and no one has sent in a single fanfic yet), also the date for BS5 sign up has been set. 4/2/02 - Today RTP ended with a stunning and very long battle. Sabriel, the second place winner went over the 2000 point mark with her 200 point runner-up prize, while the winner, Cliff became second ranked in the abbey, just behind his final battle opposition. You can read the final four RTP-1 battles here. 3/24/02 - Today the abbey reached another milestone, as Kata became the abbey's 300th member! 3/23/02 - As usual, this page doesn't reflect everything going on in the abbey. RTP has been going full blast for over a month now, Flashtail took 125 points, being the first of the final five eliminated. Congratulations on a great RP, Flashtail. Also, yesterday I added a new activity, worth 150 points, the Triathalon. Like the name might suggest, it has three parts... 2/20/02 - With RTP at a standstill in Challenge 3, I had time to finally add a new section, the quarry. The quarry is an audio and visual masterpiece compared to the rest of the site...you can also get 25 points by completing a very simply quiz/quest. 2/9/02 - A new RPG was added to my site yesterday. This newest RPG is just as original as my Battle Seasons. It is called The Rise to Power, or RTP. Only members can participate, so sign up and join the forum! 2/2/02 - BS4 has ended. Congratulations to the Champion, Maplepaw!!! You can read the epic final battle between her and Briar Rose here. Besides Battle Season action ending, I finally cracked... Yes, that's right. I am now accepting Redwall Art to be posted on the site. Read more about it in the Activities section. 1/14/02 - A staggering 13 days after it was first created, somebeast finally found the dibbun from the Mossflower River area and explained the riddle sufficiently. Bella of Brockhall gets 250 points for her skills, but don't be discouraged everybeast. You can still get the 250 points if you find the dibbun and explain the riddle, just don't try getting the answers from Bella! 1/10/02 - I think I outdid myself on the site's latest riddle, in the Mossflower River section of Into Mossflower. It's been 9 days and still no one's found the dibbun...keep seaching! Also, I created the Big Quiz, a three-level quiz, including one level where this page will come in very handy for a history of this site! 1/1/02 - The Christmas Celebration is winding down to an end, but has been such a success that it'll certainly be back, and soon the winners of those contests will be awarded their prizes. There is a brand new activity worth a whopping 250 points located in the Mossflower River section of Into Mossflower. You must follow the one riddle to locations in the site and progress from there to find the dibbun who's been swept away by the river and carried downstream by the current. You must tell exactly how you found the dibbun and what each phrase of the riddle meant to get your full prize, just to make sure you didn't just stumble onto the dibbun's spot. That's all for now, enjoy the site!! 12/27/01 - So much to do, so little time. This is one of my most neglected pages... Anyway, the abbey got a new, no-frames, layout today. I hope everyone likes it, I certainly do. Now I'm off to add a few new members. Happy holidays, and don't forget to stop in for the Christmas activities coming December 23 and closing on January 3. I only have 3 activities so far, but I'm still thinking. 11/13/01 - BS3 ended today in a spectacular battle!! Read it here! Sabriel, the winner, got 250 points for winning and a 150 point bonus for killing one more than 1/3 of the players. With her BS3 points she is the new abbey champion, CONGRATULATIONS. 11/9/01 - I've been so busy that I haven't had time to post on the updates page. BS3 is going great, the final 4 contestants will be decided today. Last month, Yahoo! page statistics recorded a record high 500+ visits. So far this month has been more successful, and my new site tracker's statistics indicate with 400 plus unique visits this month. Compared to the 222 Yahoo! said I had, I don't know if Yahoo! is so believable. All is well. 10/9/01 - So many things have been going on! I update a lot more than this page may suggest, but I only put important things on this page. CONGRATULATIONS MYSTY, she was the Battle Season 2 Champion. She recieved 500 points for her win over Dotti in the final battle. Also, sign up for BS3 begins October 20th and continues for two weeks. Get your application in early. Finally, I hope more people start sending in suggestions for the contest, I have VERY few as of now. That's all for now! 9/15/01 - My newest installment of Thinking Redwall is out. It's about Loamhedge and can be found in The Books section of my site. Also there is a new section, Into Mossflower. Currently only Salamandastron and The Northlands are available. 9/5/01 - I am so mad right now! I just heard that someone called "Terranix" hacked into Fort Moonlight and deleted it all, just because of some stupid online war between the Fort and INSU, where Terranix is a member. I can not believe that would happen, the clubs are bot uncivil to each other, and totally childish about the "war" itself, but I never expected this. If you ever make a website, I advise you not to participate in such affairs, and to ALWAYS make copies of the files on your site, never leave things to chance. I will now leave to complain at INSU! 8/29/01 - As you can see, there were some MAJOR jumps in points in the club! It's payout time for Battle Season 1, thanks to all of the great participants. The highest point-payout went to the battling champion, Treerose, who had a payout of 276 points! Others made great amounts of points in the first run of the battle board. Stay in touch to find out when the next season is set to begin, it's the BEST way to get points. In other news, Treerose has become the champion once again, overtaking Swiftslash, thanks to her battle board participation and the new riddle test. Try out the new Riddle Test, after all, it's worth 100 points! Treerose also became the first member with over 1000 points today! Double congratulations, for you. 8/22/01 - Brian Jacques suffered a mild stroke and has cancelled his autumn tour promoting his newest installment in the Rewall series, Taggerung. I hope BJ has a speedy recovery. 8/15/01 - Season 1 of the Battle Board ended today. You still have time to do some last minute stuff. Congrats to the Battle Board champ, Treerose with 777 Skill! 8/12/01 - Pawflash's Redwall Abbey has a new champion. Congratulations to Swiftslash, who, with 610 points, overtook the previous champion Treerose. Congratulations and best wishes on a long reign as champion! 8/8/01 - With so much to do, both on my site and off, it's no wonder I haven't updated this page in a while. I have new information. The Taggerung has obviously been released early by bookstores in U.K. The cover of A Redwall Winter's Tale has been posted at TRN and Redwall.org. Finally, a note about my site. There is a new forum that you may take part in, whether you are a member of the site or not, it's located in the Activities area. I hope everyone like's the new layout! 7/28/01 - New site layout, the first major change to this site in a long time! I think the new set up is much better, I hope you do to! 7/25/01 - Pawflash's Redwall Abbey has it's 100th member!!! *THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING ON THIS HISTORIC OCCASION!* 7/21/01 - I got back from Summer Camp today. It was fun, but I missed my site and Redwall in general. I leave in less than 24 hours for Band Camp and am only responding to new club member emails at this time. When I return on the 25th I will read the rest of the emails and respond to all of them within 2 days from that time. Thanks for understanding. 7/14/01 - I posted the chronological placement of The Taggerung a few days ago, and today I shut down the Member's Only Page temporarily (until July 25th) because I'll be gone and don't want to have the RPG get out of control. You can still join and gain points while I'm gone, the points and any new members won't be added until I get back though. Thanks for being understanding! 7/9/01 - I just wrote the Early Edition of Thinking Redwall. I know I said it'd be about Loamhedge, but I had a good idea so I used it for next month and moved Loamhedge back 2 months. Also, I added a new section about the Villains of Redwall books, I hope to have full profiles on the 18 VRS participants later. Also I plan on finishing up the Sorrows section by adding deaths from The Long Patrol and Marlfox. 7/8/01 - I'm gone 9 days and I have 58 emails waiting, 2 new members, 16 message board posts, and I'm totally swamped! I hate to image what it'll be like when I'm gone 11 days later this month!!!! But it's great to know my site is so good! Thanks everyone! I also read Marlfox and Salamandastron for the third and fourth time each. 6/29/01 - The Abbey has been going on splendidly, the RPG is fine, and WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!! Congratulations to Treerose with 337 points, surpassing Kendric who has 335. Treerose won the season naming contest, even though I had posted Roselin as the winner, I confused my "Rose"s and gave the points to the wrong person, but the season name stays "Summer of the Droning Bees." I'll be gone 9 days, so don't expect me to update every day like I have been, so until the 10th of July, good bye! 6/19/01 - I've been updating my site recently, so now the Sorrows page only has two books to go, though I don't remember any goodbeast deaths in Marlfox, so if you know of one, I'd be grateful. Also, Redwall.org has released information about the Redwall book after Taggerung. Triss is evidently the name of a squirrel warriormaiden, who wields a sword (possibly the Sword of Martin. She will only be the second Redwall heroine (Mariel being the first) and will be the first female abbey champion. Not to mention she will only be the third Redwall warrior with a book named after her, Martin the Warrior and Mariel of Redwall being the other two. Although Mattimeo, The Legend of Luke, and The Bellmaker are all debateable on this topic (although Luke was never at Redwall, The Bellmaker wasn't quite my definition of a warrior, and Mattimeo wasn't a warrior during his book. Of course later Mattimeo did become a warrior). The book to follow Triss willl be about Loamhedge! Finally, some questions about the old abbey may be answered! That book (whose title is so far unknown) will probably release in 2003. Read more about both new books at Redwall.org or The Redwall Newsline. 6/13/01 - I need more active members of the Members Only RPG. Right now I have very small percentage of club members even signed up for the members only section, and only three people have ever posted messages on the Battle Board! Look at what I found on Redwall.org! The American Edition Cover of Taggerung! 6/11/01 - The Page of Sorrows has been greatly updated. The list now includes, (don't read any further if you fear having the book ruined) Laterose of Noonvale, Felldoh, Mask, Luke, The Crew of Sayna, Skarlath, Veil, Mother Mellus, Colonel Clary, Brigadier Thyme, Fatch, Finnbar Galedeep, Lord Urthstripe, and I'm starting on Methuselah. Soon to come are Abbot Mortimer, Friar Hugo and Lettie Bankvole, Warbeak, Piknim, and more. 6/6/01 - There is a new champion, Congratulations to Kendric Swiftstrike with 335 points! I have a new MEMBERS ONLY section, and it has a cool RPG (NEW, so it may not be awesome yet, but with time it will be great!,) also I have renamed the old RPG to Strategy Game! 6/4/01 - I got a quick response on the fugitive, thanks to Brockblood the Invincible for finding the fugitive bhind a period on the Riddle page! 6/3/01 - I've been updating daily, but nothing major to type here about. The fugitive has been missing for over 2 weeks now, and it's REALLY hard to find. So I have decided to post his location on this page, the first person to tell me where the fugitive is on the RIDDLES page will recieve 20 points!! Now isn't that easy?? 5/25/01 - I now have the theme song to the Redwall TV Series and the Mattimeo: A Tale of Redwall TV theme song as well. 5/15/01 - We have a NEW CHAMPION!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO SABRIEL, with 192 points! 5/2/01 - I have a new page, called the Page of Sorrows. This is a list of brave and honorable goodbeasts who died during a Redwall book. So far the list includes, (don't read any further if you fear having the book ruined) Laterose of Noonvale, Felldoh, Mask, and the name of Luke, but no information on him yet. Soon to come are: The Crew of Sayna, Skarlath, Veil, Mother Mellus, Colonel Clary, Brig. Thyme, Lord Urthstripe, Fatch, Finnbar Galedeep, Methuselah, Piknim, and more. 4/28/01 - According to Bookweb.org, out of the top 25 best selling science fiction or fantasy books, Redwall ranked 10th, The Legend of Luke ranked 19th, and Mossflower ranked 21st. Good showing for Redwall books. Two Lord of the Rings books took first and second. Oh, and I finished rereading Mariel of Redwall on Tuesday and finished The Bellmaker on Friday. I need some ideas for activities reguarding those books. 4/25/01 - Pawflash's Redwall Abbey now has 51 members! Sadly, only 14 of them actually have earned any points. I'm thinking of only posting the ones with points on one page and the inactive members on another page, it takes away the purpose of that page when you look down the list and see 37 0's for scores. Although I do appreciate the support, I really wish more members would get involved! 4/22/01 - Today Pawflash's Redwall Abbey earned another award, this time for Fort Ruddler!! The member count is now nearing 50, its at 47. Sadly, less than 20 have any points at all....... 4/13/2001 - Today, when Lilypetal became a sister, the abbey finally reached the point where it contains members of every rank! 4/9/2001 - Spring, phwa! More like summer, it reached over 90 degrees today!! But I learned something good today. KETC channel 9, in St. Louis is now airing the Redwall animated series on Saturdays at 8:00 am. That's good news to my ears... Oh, and I finished Marlfox about four days ago... Now on to Mariel of Redwall 4/4/2001 - The nameday festival has passed, it is the Spring of the Early Thaw, thanks to all those who sent in suggestions, especially to the winner, Robin the Brave. The release of A Redwall's Winter Tale has been set for September 10, 2001 by Penguin Putnam, Redwall's U.S. distributor. 4/3/2001 - The suggestions for a spring season name are due before midnight tonight, I hope to read a couple more suggestions, but the name that leads currently isn't too bad. It is still the same as posted on 4/1. In the book that I am currently rereading, I realized that I had forgotten to list one Abbot on the secret passageway page. Arven was as the last Abbot before this book took place. I couldn't believe that I missed that the first time I read the book! 4/1/01 - It may be April Fool's Day, but this is no joke. I finished The Long Patrol three days ago. I will soon start on rereading Marlfox. The name of next year's new Redwall book has been announced as Triss. Very little information on it can be found. Nameday will be very soon, within a day or two, right now my best suggestion has been Spring of the Early Thaw, submitted by Robin the Brave. Please send in your suggestions soon! 3/24/01 - I finished Pearls of Lutra yesterday, and now I am starting to reread The Long Patrol. I added a Dibbun Dictionary page where you can translate some dibbun speach! 3/19/01 - I finished The Outcast of Redwall yesterday. Now I am rereading Pearls of Lutra. I have created a new riddles page, and updated the Ranks page! The new riddles are quite clever, but ther aren't at all hard. No one has tried to get my Redwall Site Award! I'm getting anxious. 3/16/01 - I have reread Salamandastron and Mossflower. I plan on creating something to go along with each of them. I will soon be changing the questions on my quiz. It needs to be changed. I have started rereading The Outcast of Redwall. I hope to have something for that too! 3/8/01 - Today I have created a new way of gaining points in the Abbey. There are now missions (currently 1 mission) that you may undertake to gain points. Check it out. I have obtained some information regarding Redwall from Redwall.org. It seems that there is going to be a Redwall cook book, filled with all those delicious Redwall foods and possibly drinks that you always wanted to eat but never knew how to make. The Redwall television show is due to premiere in the United States anytime in the month of April. Over 100 stations nation widehave plans to show the Redwall animated show. Why couldn't any St. Louis stations be on that list?! Brian Jacques is on tour again! Last time he came to the Borders book store in Clayton I went there with a friend just to meet him. He signs up to two books, I got Redwall and The Long Patrol signed last year! This year he'll be passing by that same store, but it's on a school day. Nuts! 3/7/01 - I have started reading Salamandastron for the second time. It is one of my favorite Redwall books and hope to have an activity related to the book as soon as I finish! Oh, Pawflash's Redwall Abbey now has a website award available. It is a beutiful picture and a great award, if you have a Redwall related website, submit it to me on the WIN AN AWARD page. I hope to see many entrees soon! 3/5/01 - Today Kendric Swiftsrtike found the runaway weasel. With that and other points he gained, Kendric has elevated himself to second place and the rank of WARRIOR. Only 56 more points to beat Torvin, keep working Kendric! 3/4/01 - Today I finished the Legend of Luke Quest. It is worth 25 points in the abbey! The Luke Quest is very different from my other quests, it requires knowledge of all the Redwall books! Also today, I created a website award that people can earn. Judged by me, the award has three levels. Go win one! Earlier today I posted two new members and the fugitive ferret was found in the Camp of Alfon! Good job Kedric Swiftstrike for finding him! Kendric was awarded 30 points for finding this long forgotten ferret! Another fugitive just escaped! You could earn points by finding him for me too! 3/2/01 - Today Pawflash's Redwall Abbey membership reached the mark of twenty! I am almost done with the new Legend of Luke Quest, you might have already stumbled upon a couple links for that quest. Check in often too see it be completed! 2/20/01 - I haven't updated in a while, but today I changed the ranking page around. It's no longer in chronological order of sign up! The page is now arranged in order of ranking. All those people who have the same amount of points are chronological. Look at all those 0's. I need some committed club members! Stop by and take a look, now there are 19 members! Also I have a new idea on ways to earn points! Wait and see. Oh, and I am giving the first clue to the location of the escaped feret that no one has located in six weeks! He is somewhere in the pages of Salamandastron. 1/25/01 - It's not that I haven't been updating, it's that I didn't think any of my updates were significant, until I finally, for the first time in over a year, slightly updated the Items page!! Also, there are 4 new member to my club since the last time I updated, making a total of 12, excluding myself, I believe. Oh, and don't forget to check out the awards page, I got a new award. 1/9/01 - I finished the new RPG today!! At long last, the RPG is complete! At least I think so, if there are any non-functional links, please e-mail me to alert me of any problems. 1/8/01 - I created a new way to join the abbey! Its much easier than the previous way, I have a form all set up for it! I also worked a little more on the RPG, still not quite finished! 1/6/01 - I finished the spoiler report on The Legend of Luke and I upgraded the RPG, so now there aren't so many dead links. I completed four links on the RPG and it now has two more endings than it did. Still not near complete, but about half way now. Also, the abbey has another new member. 1/3/01 - Happy New Year! Today I added another member to the abbey, got another award, and rearanged the frame. 12/23/00 - I began a new RPG, it is still incomplete, but you can win already. There are many combinations to winning, and losing, chose the right course to defeat Cluny the Scourge and his vilianous horde of beasts. 12/22/00 - The Abbey has a new champion, Torvin, with 190 points! Great job, Torvin. 12/12/00 - I have updated my counter, I hope it works, it should say 750,000 or so, if it is working. If not, I'll fix it soon. 12/2/00 - I have updated the guestbook so it actually works! Also, I have new ways to gain points in the abbey club. Check frequently on updates and be an active member in the club! Plus, I have a new quiz! It is about each book. Visit it and enjoy, but don't cheat. 11/14/00 - I have already begun work on my new Spoilers page, giving great details about each book. This page has not yet been posted. Also, I created this update section today, and I will tell you of some recent updates: 11/13/00 - I added the new webpage banner. 11/10/00 - I finally finished The Legend of Luke, 8 months of waiting for softcover, and it took only two days to read! Look for The Legend of Luke's book review in my Reviews section. 11/9/00 I changed the page name from Dibbun's Redwall Abbey, to the more original, Pawflash's Redwall Abbey. 11/6/00 - The Redwall Club has a Champion, Mariel, with 17 points. |
