Cancun
(Ancient playground)

Cancun is the Mayan word for "nest of snakes." The locals assure me that the snakes are gone, but personally I think they grew legs and are running the shops and hotels now (ha ha). There are lots of things to see and do here, and if you ever go, would encourage you to do as much as you can. The beach is something like 98% calcium, so that's why it's such a light color. The consitancy of the sand is almost like powdered sugar (not quite but close). I love the feel of it on my feet. Mayan ruins are litterly everywhere in this region, and there are lots of tours to take you to several. Xcaret, Tulum, and Chitz Chen Izta are the more popular ones. The Mayan people are still around but the culture died a long time ago. They were master architects. When you stand in front of one pyramid and clap your hands, the echo makes the sound of the Mayan sacrad bird. Another pyramied echos a sound of some lizard (but I can't remember it's signifance).

Dolphin Kiss - I highly recommend doing this. These guys are very friendly, and they like to have their tummies rubbed. They're kind of like water dogs.

Everytime I tried to take this parrots picture he bit this guys hand. Guess he was a little camera shy.

Well.. you know I love to watch the sunrise, here they are.

The Astromony ruin at the Chitz Chen Itza
