First  Trip to South Africa

My first trip to South Africa was in 1989.  We went by plane to Johannesburg.  After a few day's in Johannesburg we went with some friends to the eastern Transvaal . There starts the Blyde River  trail . A hiking trail from 5 day;s.    First HUT On this page you will find some pictures and story;s over that trail .  It is a trail where you don't need so much condition ,it is easy walking in a verry nice suroundings.  This picture shows the first Hut where  we stayed for one night

This is close to a restcamp where we stayed for one night. The person on this picture is me. (the owner of this site) It was a verry nice and warm day and we had some nice views over the valley. The first thing what we all did when we arrived at the next restcamp was take out you shoes and wash our feet in a little streem if posible.
This Picture is taken at our way to the next restcamp. The roads where we walked on were OK. You cann't beleave how quite it was we heart  just some birds and other small animals. IT WAS A PERFECT DAY !!! On our way
Foto Restplace   Here we are enjoying the nice view. We had reserved a small place in our back pack where we put our foot and drinks in for that day. So you need just to open a part  from you back pack.   Below you see some pictures from views  we had on this trail as well
