The Shutterbug in Me

My favorite Photos

Photography is a hobby I wish I had more time for... F-stops, aperature settings, and filters are things that I at least know exist but, my actual knowledge of their uses pretty much stops there. Regardless, I am, on occasion, able to produce a few shots I deem worthy of public view. Here are several of my current favorites.

I have not done much in black and white, but the zoo seemed a fun place to experiment. The gorilla enclosure is actually quite spacious and naturalized except for this area closest to the public. This poor guy was getting picked on by a larger male.

This was taken in Maine. I was attempting to get a shot of the seaspray coming off the rocks as the tide came in. I was surprised to see the seahorse image when it was developed. No, it isn't digitally enhanced.

Another zoo shot. The polarbear was walking behind a waterfall. I rather like the "blizzard" effect the water gives this shot.

This is my mom, taken near a construction site, she is acting out a popular saying...

Taken at a nature reserve. I like the colors and texture of the seed head
