| O.P.Bautista grew up in the province of Aklan and migrated to the U.S. in the early eightees. Her love for nature, history, and literature has brought her closer to Aklan. Although she spent most of her life in California, she had never forgotten Aklan's dialect nor its customs. Her family's yearly vacation has provided much insight on Aklan and gave her an affinity towards the province. The poem below was written in December of 1984 when she was about ten years of age. |
