| Despite all of the warnings, Cartegena felt pretty darn safe to us. Of course, we kept a low profile.....One of the few locals who approached us was the child on the right who tried to sell us some foul confection. |

| The Travers, the Gassmans and the McAlisters took a tour through a Colonial home, where Simon Bolivar supposedly stayed for a month or so. Our guide explained to us that the ghost of Simon Bolivar continues to haunt the place. Then he tried to send us to his "sponsor" to buy some jewels. |
