          Topic Area: Describing Actions.

            Assumptions: Pupils are supposed to be able to use the simple present.

            Specific aims: At the end of this lesson pupils will be able to describe actions which are taking place now.

            Language contents

                Functions: - Talking about actions
                                  - Asking what someone is doing now
                                  - Talking about actions happening at the moment
                                  - Asking about actions at the moment.

                Exponents:- What is he/ she doing?
                                   - What are you/ we/ they doing?
                                   - He/ she is ...-ing.
                                   - You/ we/ they are ...-ing.

             Teaching sequence:

                                 - Introduction (Christmas Time )
                                 - Teacher delivers a text to the pupils.
                                 - Teacher reads the text.
                                 - Pupils read the text.
                                 - Oral interpretation of the text.
                                 - Pupils fill in some gaps in the text sheet.
                                 - Teacher explains in the blackboard the present continuos structure.
                                 - Pupils copy the structure from the blackboard.
                                 - Teacher delivers a worksheet and explains it.
                                 - Correction of the worksheet.
