GABRIELLE portrays the story of a girl trying to find her way in life, looking for love, hope and redemption. After years of meeting and getting to know people from all walks of life, I began writing songs and lyrics in 1997, telling the story of a girl trying to find her way in life, looking for love, hope and redemption. The story of Gabrielle is based on real life incidents that have happened in the lives of people who shared their lives with me. I then asked a friend Laura M'Clelland to work with me on the story. Laura and I had exchanged poetry over the internet for a year, and it was then that I realized her talents and decided I wanted her to be my co-author. Thanks Laura, you're such a blessing! I would like to thank all my friends from Holland, UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia who took time to read the early drafts and giving me valuable feedback and encouragement to go on with it. I'm really grateful to be a part of this project, I was really inspired and uplifted by it. I had a year or so of not being able to write much - you could call it writer's block before helping to write "Gabrielle. Writing "Gabrielle" was a test which I'm glad I could take because it felt good to be on a journey towards winning. I couldn't have helped write the book without the help of Jeremy. Thanks to him for allowing me to be his co-writer, now if that isn't trust then I don't know what is!! (just kidding). When he asked me to co-write I had no doubt that I'd love to help because I felt it was the right time to undertake this kind of project. He'd shown me his work on his website and had sent me his lyrics about "Gabrielle" which all have great power and truth. There is real strength in helping to write a book which is based on a true story. Somehow it brings everything alive when you write. | Promises made, promises broken... such is life as we know it. But we can chose how we we want our lives to be and move on as victors rather than live as pathetic victims. Due to financial restraints I was unable to complete a recording of my song "Gabrielle." I feel bad that I have made my friends Rene Otten and Gerian Zijlstra (from the Netherlands) wait so long for it. | I have been commissioned to design a website for a designer, showcasing his special effects art on walls. These murals can look like ordinary walls but when subjected to ultraviolet light images of tigers, lions, dolphins, etc. I have been to his showroom and the images are just amazing.
