Opinions, Reviews and more
This is a freethought blog, saying whatever comes to my mind at the time.

I haven't written anything is so long!!! When I was writing in my Journal, it was helping to clarify what I wanted to write in this blog. I don't know why, but it became much harder to find time to do that, and when I let that slide, the blog slid also. Anyway, I am trying for another come back. I did find a new book by Alan Furst. The Foreign Correspondent. A review will be forthcoming after I finish reading it. I did just finish "The Legend of Quito Road". A well written novel about bootlegging and  race relations in a small Tennessee community just outside of Memphis.  The story starts in the slave days when the legend of Quito Road is born.  It then progresses into the  1930's when the offspring of the legend are struggling to get by. The blood lines are a little confusing since many of the blacks and whites are related to each other either through children born as a consequence of rape or of consentual sex. I thought the story had a somewhat surprising ending.
