The cat you see in the photo below is my cat that I had to leave at home with my
family when I went away to college. She's still my baby though.
The photo below is one I took of my dog I also left behind when I went away to
college. He finally passed away in the Fall of 2001 and it was hard cause it happened to be a weekend that I went home to visit my family. Some weekend I had! He's where he's supposed to be now. I took this picture and it is definitely one of my favorites.
The picture below is of my rotten snot. She is my little baby. I adopted her when she was 7 months old after she was abandoned outside in a snow and ice storm in January 2000. As soon as I stuck my hand in the cage she was in and she rubbed against my hand and purred as loud as can be, I knew she was the one for me. Now she thinks SHE is the QUEEN of the place.
The picture below is of my rotten little boy, Yoda. I named him Yoda because when he's in a playful mood and his ears lay flat, he looks like Yoda from "Star Wars". He's a stinker if ya ever saw one. My sister adopted him with the thought of her taking him back home with her when she moved out of my apartment in Dec. 2001 - but...obviously that DIDN'T happen. The reason...we didn't have the heart to separate the two cats cause they got too attached to one another and I've never seen my Raggy so happy. So, he's mine now. He's a year old and as honrey as ever! If we drink beer, all he ever wants is the box. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2002, he was diagnosed with feline lukemia and I had to have him put to sleep because he was suffereing too much and there would of been nothing for me to do anyway. It was for the best. He will be loved and missed!
Then there's my little sugar glider, Farquaad (Yes, that's the name of the Lord on the mvie "Shrek"). My mom got him for my 21st birthday in July of 2001 and he's spoiled rotten. He HAS to have his meal worm while I'm fixing his dinner (fruit and mealworms) in the evening. He is about 7 months old (as of March 2002) and isn't gonna get much bigger than what you see there. He loves jumping off of my curtain rods and gliding (they have the flap of skin like flying squirrels do between their front and rear legs) around my apartment. In 2003, he became suicidal and squeezed his butt into a spot he couldn't get out of while I was gone one day and I found him dead...flat as a pancake in his cage. :-( Wasn't a fun thing to come home too. He was a good, unique pet but I don't think I'll have another sugar glider. :-P
This adorable little gal, a pure bred Beagle named Busta was my pride and joy. I immediately fell in love with her adorable puppy dog eyes. Who was to know there was a little devil inside her. *evil grin* But, originally when I bought her, I was told she was a boy and I just went along with that. Well, a few months later I was wondering why "he" was squatting when peeing and it was comfirmed a few months later that "he" was a she. So, hence the name Busta. Unfortunately, she became more than I could handle since I wasn't home all the time (I was at work and class) and so she hadn't quite grasped the concept of house training and I had to give her away to a loving family out in the country with another Beagle where she is now a very happy little gal. She will always be in my heart!!
She loved hiding and sleeping under the pillows on my bed. I just thought this was a cute picture to add to it.
Next is my little abnormality of a creature...an albino hedgehog named Quintrell (Quinn for short)! Yes, he's a pricky little bugger and he's totally white with red eyes. Though I don't have a picture of him yet, I should soon. When I moved, I had to give him to my mother to take care of and he eventually died of cancer which we thought we had gotten rid of.
And, the last and recent addition to my ZOO is my little baby girl, Siggie and her fat little brother, Loki and her other brother, Turd. I think Siggie has a bit of albino in her because she has a lot of white in her and a red tint to her eyes. They love a lot of attention and enjoy playing with all the other critters we have in our place. Like the hedgehog, I don't have a picture of them yet, but I will sooner or later.
I also have my three puppies all a year apart from each other...they just kept coming!!! I've got a Chihuahua named Cuervo (was on a Cuervo kick at the time and thought it was appropriate for him), a Pug named RUmple (cause I switched to Rumple Minze and was on that kick for a long time...still am to a point) and a Basset Hound named Daisy (we couldn't think of a female liquor so when it came down to naming her...she was born in the SOuth in TN so Daisy was appropriate for her) :-P
