The Indianapolis Interline Club was founded in 1999. The club is a nonprofit volunteer organization of airline employees which was founded for the purpose of promoting goodwill, understanding and knowledge among airline personnel and to promote the Air Transportation industry. This promoting has principally consisted of a monthly party which is sponsored by an airline. IIC feels that there is more to interlining than just "getting". The IIC is proud to sponsor their very own Charity Corner. Also the IIC is proud to be a member of the World Airlines Clubs Association (WACA). WACA was formed following a meeting of airline clubs representatives in Cannes, France in April 1966. The Rivera Airlines club had invited the representatives to discuss the formation of a world body which would unite and promote the activities of interline clubs throughout the world. A caretaker committee was elected and WACA was officially constituted in March 1967. The association has enjoyed a steady growth in both its members and the scope of activities.
