We asked our board Members how long they've been in aviation? What do they think about our Interline club? And here is what some of them said:
Angie Horvath President - I have been in aviation since 1985 when I was hired by World Airways, in Oakland CA. They relocated their corporate offices to Northern VA in 1987, and ATA hired me away in 1997.
I was the treasurer of the Oakland Interline Club while out in California, and on the board of the Washington DC club in Northern VA. Leaving as president of the club in 1997.
As there was no club in IND, I decided we needed one and formed the IND club in Jan 1999. I wanted all airline employees to know the advantages of socializing with your fellow aviation colleagues, traveling at even more discounted prices, meeting wonderful people from all over the world, sharing a mutual interest of fun, life, and laughter, and last but not least, giving back to the local community through charitable works and donations. If you don't give back to the community that you live in, it can't "give" to you.
Maureena Lewis Vice President - I've been in aviation for almost 6 years now (April will be 6)...and my favorite thing about the interline club is that it gives me a chance to meet new people and make new friends that have a common interest--TRAVEL !!
Helen Stuller Secretary - I have been in aviation 11 and 1/2 years. I enjoy talking to the members that we never see unless it is at a party and the advantages for travel that we get through the Interline club.
Deb Spall Editor - I've been in aviation almost 3 years and I like getting together with old friends and making new ones.
Phyllis Vonderhaar Membership Chair Person - I started with ATA in 7/84, 16 1/2 yrs. ATA was my first major airline job. I worked at the Greenwood Airport while in High School. I'm really proud of working here at ATA, enjoy it immensely. I have not personally been able to take any of the Interline Club trips. However, I have won some of the free airline passes which are given out at our monthly parties.
