Welcome
to Libby's World!
July
24, 2005:
My grandson Allen White is visiting us this summer. We’ve taken him to SeaWorld, the beach in St. Pete, the Ocala National Forest, Wild Waters (a local waterpark), shopping, etc., and have just about worn him out. This is his first trip to Florida.
This is the light of my life:
my daughter Jamie. This picture is from her first glamour photo
session in August 2000. She's fifteen years
old now, loves animals, reading, writing, computers, and science. Extremely
bright, enthusiastic, and confident, keeping up with her is a challenge.
Everywhere we go, people comment on how much we look alike.

This is me, Libby.
I'm a Registered Nurse and the Director of Nursing for Marion House HealthCare
Center, a long term care, subacute, and Alzheimer facility
in Ocala, Florida. I moved to Florida permanently over ten years
ago with my husband Don and daughter Jamie and we love it. We spend as
much time as we can outdoors; at the beach, going to open-air concerts,
and exploring parks and nature trails.

Our
Babies:
Poppy AKA
"The Poppinator"
I had wanted a Chihuahua for years and years.
Christmas 2000 my husband bought one for me and Jamie. He is very
loveable, but with a “well-defined” personality. He's registered with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC) as "Jamie's Poppy von Rhoden." He is a
frequent visitor to my facilities and is enjoyed by staff and residents
alike.

Polly
Purebread
We adopted Polly, a
Miniature Dachshund, in Wichita, Kansas in April of
1996. She's AKC registered as "Libby's Polly von Rhoden." She
gives "hugs" by trying to wrap her neck around our necks. Polly
is very protective and does not tolerate strangers, but is very sweet to
us.
|
Our Precious Girl
We adopted Precious in May 2002 as a girlfriend for Poppy. Her CKC registered name is “Jamie’s
Precious Cocoa.” She and Poppy have
given us four litters of gorgeous little Chihuahua pups, all of which
found loving homes among friends and family. A little skittish at first, she is now very sweet,
affectionate, and mild-mannered (especially for a Chihuahua).
