Despite John Howard's relatively generous first home owners grant, this house has still cost us more than we thought we would spend after our return from London. We really love the house so it doesn't matter that we had to mortgate arms and legs to get it. Moving in date is around mid december. During our last inspection we took a few pictures of the house. I think the agent was quite amused at how "into it" we were. We were treating the house like a tourist attraction, taking a video and photos of really exciting things like cupboards :-) Anyway here is a picture of the house from the outside. Now a bit closer to the front door. As you can see the front is bluestone, but the rest of the building is normal brick. The corridor and lounge both have polished wooden floorboards. Here is Gosia admiring it all. The three bedrooms are all at the front of the house, and are all pretty much the same, so I will show you only one of them. The lounge makes up the 4th and final room of the original early 1900s house. Out the back, some additions were put on in the mid '80s. This consists of the bathroom, laundry, kitchen, and a nice big living area. The living area has nice wooden raked ceiling, and has plenty of windows. One of my favourite parts of the house is the back yard which has enough space for the all important sand pit and for a short dob of the footy. It also has some nice trees which you can see in the photo if you use your imagination. Last but definitely not least, here is how Gosia looks at six months.
