| From California , I flew to New Orleans via
Dallas , Texas. My flight from LA got canceled at the last minute
and I was 2 hrs late arriving at New Orleans :-(
Poor Loretta and Terry had already left for the airport so I was unable to contact them to let them know and they had a 2 hr drive to pick me up .... This was really the only hitch in all my travel arrangements. They took me straight into New Orleans French Quarter, for a look at a real Music Festival and we had special New Orleans coffee and beignet (french do-nuts) The atmosphere was just amazing. And the market stalls fascinating with heaps of alligator and turtle stuff. And an amazing variety of foods. While staying with Terry and Loretta I got
to see the Mexican Gulf, the swamps and bayous .... and to top it all off
they gave me a REAL Cajun party with authentic Cajun food and music. What
a wonderful fun time I had. An experience of a lifetime. Wonderful memories
of generous happy people, and beautiful places I have from there.
