Karen and Paul drove me up to Portland, Maine, and we all stayed the night in a motel. We had arranged to meet Bonnie and Wayne here, they were driving down from Fredericton,  New Brunswick in Canada. We all got together for a while that evening and headed off to Canada the following morning.
The drive up was spectacular for me and we arrived at Bonnie and Wayne's home around lunchtime.
I felt so at home at Bonnie's and just loved sharing with the family. Bonnie and I have such a lot in common and did some really neat things together. We both love arts and crafts so explored that kind of thing together. We also went to the Art Gallery there and when Wayne had a day off he took us down the coast  to St. Andrews.
Wow !!! what a fabulous place that was .... they had the quaintest stores there and the atmosphere was really summer holidays. Everyone there was busy getting geared up for the short tourist season. We had lunch in a place that was right on the water and we could sit and watch the tide and the mists rolling in. Truly a beautiful spot.

I must just mention a couple of special things that happened here in preparation for the photos that follow.
I live in the subtropics of Australia , so never see snow or really experience any real cold weather ..... Bonnie had joked with me about buying me a flannel nightie and true to her word the flannel nightie was there waiting for me :-)
Bonnie and Wayne's son Chris had saved me some snowballs and put them in the freezer so I would not miss out on seeing snow. That just blew me away ..... what a wonderful thought.
