Hogarthian Diving is not complete without learning to tie knots. Knot's can be much stronger than a zip tie, so if your life depended on it, you better tie it.

The Mailing Lists are a great way to learn more about the DIR system, or anything about technical diving. You can scour the old files for any information you need, or simply join the list and ask questions.

Here is an account of an accident by Richard Pyle. He is a well respected member of the diving community and is regarded as one of the top divers in the world. You can learn a lot from the mistakes of others.
