This is the beginning of the travel section, for pictures and information on some of the places that we have been, throughout the Caribbean. Each page is dedicated to a different place. So far there is Santiago de Cuba, Dominican Republic, Cozumel Mexico, Varadero Cuba, Cayo Coco Cuba, Bahamas and the Florida Keys. Have a look through, hopefully you will get a little info on each place and you might decide to go there. If you have any questions about the area, feel free to e-mail me.

Cuba~ Santiago de Cuba
This was the first place that I visited in the Caribbean. In 1996, with my friends Paul and Henri, we went down and stayed at the Club Amigo Buccanero in Santiago de Cuba. It was a 3 star resort located on the south west part of the Island. The place was great, we enjoyed it very much. The food was good, the rooms were nice, clean and each had a balcony. The only thing was it was located a bit far out of town, and not too much else was going on around the area. We did talk to some local guys who arranged a taxi for us to go to Santiago for the day. There were no scooters available, only bicycles. The beach was small, mostly rocky cliffs for the shoreline.Beautiful scenery though.
Paul, Henri and I by the pool and bar. Henri on the walkway that ran along the whole coast.
Rudolpho and Luis, friends that showed us around. Paul, and I donning the wetsuits, 1st time.
I had to leave this picture large to get the full effect of the effort that was needed to get paul out of the wetsuit. Ha Ha... Dan (on right) our dive instructor, who was living in Cuba at the time is from Montreal.
A picture of us in downtown Santiago de Cuba. A shot of the beach, which was small but nice. Also some people that we partied with from Ottawa.
