The Asunción Palace Hotel is placed in the very historic centre of the city (address: Colon 415 esq. Estrella), where also are the financial district, the main commercial area and a growing entertainment zone, at 30 minutes from the International Airport and at 20 minutes from the Bus Station of Asuncion.

	This building, inaugurated in 1858, was the residence of Col. Venancio Lopez, member of the first ruling family of Paraguay.

The Hotel is in the same neighborghood of the main banks, the Government ministeries, the National Congress, the Presidential Palace, the city port, the art & crafts shops and at short distance from the soccer stadium Defensores del Chaco and the Judiciary see.
