Small but beautiful beach, situated north of Batsi, that has both an naturist and a textile part.
To get there from Batsi, turn right at the war monument and follow the road along the coast for about 20 minutes (by feet) until you reach an apartment block. The beach is indicated from there. Th left side of the beach is the naturist section.

Beautiful sand/pebble beach situated nearby a camping. My correspondent says that the beach is mostly visited by older people.
To get there from Paros, take the boat at Parikia or Pounda and cross the water to Andiparos. On arrival, turn right and walk to the north until you reach the beach.

Large sand/pebble beach where nude-bathing is possible.The naturist section is the final part of the main beach that leads from Roda to Acharavi (7 km long).
This place is very calm and quiet, and provides lots of space for naturists. My correspondent and his wife shared the beach with 6 other naturists in June 2000.
Unfortunately the track that runs along the beach also attracted unwanted (clothed) visitors (one mountainbiker that had to cool himself off in the water and another biker that couldn’t find another place for smoking a cigarette than just between two naturist couples).Apparently not only the clothed people were frustrated at that time, one nude man couldn’t resist masturbating whenever a female naturist was looking into his direction. Needless to say that no one really paid attention and that he didn’t have any success, so he left…

To get there follow the road from Roda to Acharavi, pass the main entry to the beach of Acharavi, till you see a sign “Almiros Beach” pointing to a small track at the left side of the road. Follow the track pass Thalasso, Avra market, Angela studios and Taverna George (“Fish Grill”) towards the hills, till you reach a little bridge over the water. The naturist section is at the end of the main beach – just before the little bridge, where the rocks form some kind of lagoon (see picture above).
Aghios Georgios
The south beach of Aghios Georgios is a 2 km long sandy family beach, without any evidence of nudity in June 2000. But to the left of the beach, there is a small secluded beach, also sandy, where naturism is possible.

The way to the beach is somehow difficult to find. To get there, follow the track along the left side of the beach, towards the olive wood. This track ends at the Fisherman’s Taverna, but the nude beach is somehow at the beginning of the track, and cannot be seen from the track.
To get to the nude beach, follow the track pass a small house till the point where the track turns away from the sea. There is another small house at the right side. Walk up the hill for about 25m till you find a small foot track that will lead you to the beach. The sight at that time should look somewhat like the right picture above.
Arillas
Beautiful sandy beach, sheltered by impressive rock formations. The left side of the beach is clothed, the right side (northern part) is usually populated by naturists.
My correspondent and his wife visited the beach in June 2000, together with about 40 to 50 other naturists. It was a mix of singles, couples, families, young and older, but overall very friendly people: one naturist helped them fix their sun umbrella, another one offered his own umbrella when he left. (Note that the local umbrellas cannot be taken to the naturist section of the beach, but you can buy very cheap umbrellas in the shops at the main beach – about 2500 drachmes).
Traditionally people paint their body green with clay that can be found on the beach. As a consequence, my correspondent met two green ladies there. He also told me that you can have endless walks in the nude there – isn’t that great!?

To get there, just follow the road towards Sidari till you see the signs pointing to Arillas. Once heading for Arillas, the beach is very easy to find.
Linia
Beautiful long sandy beach, completely deserted according to my correspondent who was there in Augustus 1998. No facilities provided.
To get there, follow the main road to the village Linia till you reach a car park (to the right). It takes a minute to step to the beach.
Glifada-Vatos
Myrtiotissa beach

Picturesque sandy beach surrounded by beautiful rocks, situated between Glifada and Vatos (about 15km west of the capital). This beach is known as ‘the only beach where naturism is officially tolerated’.
My correspondent and his wife visited the beach in June 2000 and really recommend it to everyone visiting the island! The left side of the beach (southern part) was completely populated by naturists, both singles and couples, gay, lesbian and hetero, young and old together.
You can rent an umbrella for 500 drachmes a day, buy drinks and very very very good Greek sandwiches on the nude section of the beach. The only disadvantage is the difficult way to reach the beach, but it is really worth the effort!
To get there, follow the road that leads from Pelekas to Glyfada till you find a sign pointing to “Myrtiotissa beach”. You will find a very steep track that leads you down to the beach, my correspondent wouldn’t recommend it for cars, although some still do it. He and his wife went by scooter, but even that was very difficult (especially the return). It is better to park your car or scooter someway in the middle of the track under the trees, and continue by feet.

Nudebeach located about 4 km from Roda, very close to the Roda Beach Camping. It is not as famous as Mirtiotisa beach, but many people say that it is much better.

Nice pebble/stone beach containing both a textile and a naturist part. My correspondent visited the beach during the summer of 1998, and almost all 15 visitors where nude at that time. No facilities provided.
The naturist part of the beach can be found east of Aghia Galini, just after the river.

Nice sand beach, located east of Plakias, that attracts both campers and naturists. No facilities provided, but you can have drinks and snacks in a nearby taverna in town.
Note that the beach is rather small, so that it is quickly completely filled (with naturists only).
To get there from Plakias, follow Road E for about half an hour towards Damnoni. Once you arrive at the bay, turn left and follow the track .
As you reach the bay of Damnoni go left and follow the track to a smaller bay (usually with sunbeds).

This wonderful sandy beach is located about 1 km from Frangkastello, somewhat 10 km east of the Chora Sfakion.
The eastern part of the beach is frequently visited by naturists, and provides a really a great location for nude walking along the sea.
Glika Nera

This beautiful naturist beach of Glika Nera is located next to Loutro village, and is surrounded by impressive rock formations.

My correspondent says that it is really one of the most attractive beaches of the region. She found it an excellent place for nudebathing during the summer of 1996.
Except from a small taverna there are no facilities at the beach.

Hersonisos
Very nice little beach which is excellent for nudebathing.
To get there, follow the road along the coast towards the west till you find a hotel complex at your left side. It is recommended to park the car here and walk along the beach till you reach the official naturist section, since the beach is hard to find if you drive further on the road, due to the rock formations that hide it.

Beautiful sandy beach located west of Ligres. The ideal location for nude strolls along the sea.
There are no facilities provided at the beach, but you can have a snack or drink in Ligres.
To get there, drive through Kerames and Agalianos towards Ligres beach. Once you have arrived at the beach, walk west till you reach the next beach.

Beautiful sandy beach, situated nearby Matala. My correspondent was there during September 1998, about 10 naturists visited the beach at that time. It is a marvelous place to stay he said.
Red Beach

Beautiful beach that attracts many naturists, known for its red sand. No facilities provided, but you can find drinks and snacks in a nearby taverna.
To get there, start following the rather steep track to the opposite of the Zafarina Pension in Matala towards the sea and you’ll find the beach in about half an hour.

Amoudi Beaches
Three wonderful beaches situated about 5 km west of Plakias. Unfortunately not so peaceful anymore as is used to be some years ago. In spite of the lounge-chairs and umbrellas, my correspondent say that this beach is really a nice play to stay.
To get there, follow the road from Plakias to Amoudi. Walk to towards the coast till you reach the first beach. To get to the smaller beaches, follow the track at the right side of the bay upwards and you’ll find two cute little bays where nude-bathing is wonderful.
Plakias Beach

Wonderful sand beach situated in the bay of Plakias, at the west-end of the boulevard. The beach is split up in to parts, the first one mainly spoiled with lounge-chairs and umbrellas.
The beach is mostly visited by elder people.
Preveli

This used to be a very eye-catching naturist beach that invited for long walks along the beach, unfortunately nowadays the beach is full of umbrellas and attracts many clothed people too.

My correspondent told me that when you walk up the canyon through the palm trees, you can find nice and quiet places where many people are sunbathing and swimming nude in the watercourse. This greatly compensates the clothed people on the sometimes overcrowded main beach.
To get there you have to follow a track for about 5 km, which can be very rough at some places. You can also climb down to the beach from the Preveli Monastery, but this is only recommended to the tough ones.

This great naturist beach (pebbles/sand) is located next to Sfakia village and provides a beautiful environment for both nude bathers and nude swimmers.

Souda
Nice little sandy beach, surrounded by a cliff. Most of the naturists are at the east end of the beach, but sometimes the middle part is also filled with nude bathers.
You can have a drink or a snack in one of the nearby tavernas.
To get there, follow the road road from Plakias for about 4km towards Souda. Pass the tavernas at the west side and walk from there to the beach.
Sougia

Wonderful naturist beach located at the eastern part of the beach of Sougia. The beach is surrounded by beautiful rock formations and provides an ideal environment for nude bathing and swimming.
There are also many eat and drink facilities over there.

To get there, take the bus to Omalos Plateau, pass through the canyon and take the ferry from Agia Roumeli to the village of Sougia.

Mavra Volias - Emporeios
Three unique beaches with black pebbles of volcanic origin, situated between what used to be vulcans, each in their own bay. The farthest bay is the most quite one. The water is crystal clear and is already quite steep along the beach. Nearby the first beach you can buy drinks and snacks.
Nudebathing isn’t officially allowed (mention the old – unreadable sign that says so), but the second and third beach are so deserted that no one will bother your being nude. About 10 sunbathers were there during August 1998.
To get there, follow the main road from Chios city towards Pirgi. At Pirgi you will find signs indicating the Emporeios/Mavra Volias beach. You can also get there by bus, but we learned that taxi or scooter provided the best solution.
Elinda-Lithio (W)
The most beautiful beaches can be found along the westcoast of Hios (both sandy or with pebbles). The beaches are visible from the main road, but are sometimes hard to reach.
Between Elinda and Lithio you will find this very nice beach that can be reached via a track (by scooter or by feet). The only disadvantage was that some people had left their garbage on the beach, which resulted in the presence of a lot of black "butterfly-like" insects that floated around the beach. Anyway, we really enjoyed being (all alone) there during the summer of 1998.
To get there, follow the road from Elinda along the westcoast towards Lithio. The beach is situated between two bigger beaches. The track starts in a turn of the main road. Once you’ve passed a hill with a watchtower, you’re too far.

Molyvos (N)
Beautiful sandy beach at the left end of the main beach of Molyvos, ending with a cliff. You have a great view on th town of Molyvos there. The beach is situated at about 3 km from Molyvos town. Ideal for a swim. About 30 naturists (English, German, Greek, Belgian) visited the beach begin September 1998.
You can rent a chair for about 500 Drachme or a chair + umbrella for about 1500 Drachme. No other facilities are provided, you can find those at the main beach.
To get there, follow the road from Molyvos towards Petra. Once the road splits (near a little bridge that crosses a dried up river) you will find the hotel Delfinia II at the right side. Follow the track that is indicated "to the beach" that is lying next to the hotel (right side) till you reach the beach. Turn left on the beach and keep on walking till you get at the naturist section at the end.
Eftalou (N)
Long pebble beach, split up in about 7 small and bigger bays. The visitors of the 3 most distant bays are 90% naturists (about 30 people begin September 1998, mainly English and Greek, but also German and Belgian).
To get there, follow the main road from Molyvos towards Eftalou, till it ends with a track (after about 5 km). You can get there by bus (never there when you need it) but I’d advise to get a taxi or a scooter. Walk to the most distant bays, along the thermea and the taverna till you reach the first pebble beach. It takes a couple of minutes to get to the most distant bay.

Beautiful long beach situated in an enourmous bay. Nudebathing is allowed at the right section of the beach (facing the sea) that ends with a spectacular cliff. A little caravan (named "Primitive") provides drinks and snacks; you can also find some restaurants and shops where the beach starts.
Most of the naturists visiting the beach are lesbian couples; in September 1998 about 90% of the people present (about 70) were female.
To get there, follow the main road towards Eressos. Skala Eressou is indicated with signs. Walk along the beach (to the right) or follow the road that runs parallel with the beach till you reach a car park (between the trees) where a sign "Primitive - Food, Drinks, Music" shows the way to the caravan that sells drinks and snacks. Nudebathing is allowed at the creek of the dried up river, at the right section of the beach.

Beautiful sand beach, visited both by both nudists and non-nudists from all over the world. Note that the beach can be very crowded in summer. You can get food and drink at the beach.
The beach is well indicated, and can easily be found once you’re at the end of the Koukounaries road.
Little Banana Beach

Superb sand beach (about 300m long), situated next to Banana beach, locally known as Spartacus beach. The beach can also be very crowded in summer. You can rent lounge-chairs and umbrellas there, and there is a little taverna that provides drinks and snacks.
To get there from Banana beach, you have to climb the rocks, but it is really worthwhile the effort.

Beautiful official nude beach, situated nearby Galissas, mainly consisting of pebbles and rocks. The beach is also visited by non-naturists and can be very crowded during summer.
To get there from the camping "Two Hearts", walk towards the beach till you reach the main street that leads to the Galissas beach. Follow the track up the hill past the church and down till you arrive at the beach.
