How Precious Are Your Thoughts Psalm 139 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. O Lord, you have searched my heart and know me inside and out. You know my comings and goings and discern my thoughts before I think them. You walk beside me all day long, and when I lie down at night, you're still there. You are behind me, in front of me and all around me wherever I go. You have touched me and drawn me close to you. I can't comprehend it. It's so wonderful that no matter how hard I try to understand, I can't grasp it! For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How tender your thoughts have been toward me, O Lord. How vast are their numbers! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you. Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there be any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. When I am in doubt of my abilities, discouraged about my inadequacies, confused about my identity I read Your beautiful Word, full of promises and perspectives that illuminate my potential like the silver lining of the darkest cloud.
