This page is dedicated to all the many students I not only taught,

but were great friends with while I was in Thailand.

Best of luck to you all! Chai - Yo!

12/99

These pictures were sent to me from Sheri Hodges, a friend, and former teacher at Chitralada.  Since I knew most of these students I thought it would be fitting to put it on my page.  Not only would it be chronological, but I think a cool collage is a great way to start out a page like this one.

The following are pictures that were taken during "Sports Day" 1998.

There are the athletes, and then there are the fans!  At Chitralada the fans are really almost as important as the athletes.  The whole school is divided up into four groups, or colours.  As you can see, they go to a lot of work to create an impressive backdrop to their cheering.  Even though I was a part of the violet group, I think the green did the most imaginative display.  That canon in the front they even got to fire now and then.  Genius!

Everything from bamboo javelins to lead weights there were track and field events for everyone!

In the middle is Nittipan.  I remember this jump well!  He had the height,... that was about it!

Yes, there were three-legged races as well!

I like the photo on the left because of the expression on the girls face in the background!

She knew she wasn't going to win this one.  On the right, it was just another victory for

violet which ended the day with the most points!

The last event is the great tug-a-war.  It's basically students vs. teachers (and anyone else who will sympathize their efforts)!

Despite a gallant effort by the teachers, the students won by sheer numbers, if nothing else!
