Don your 3-D Spider-Vision goggles for an eye-popping, heart-stopping, first-of-a-kind, high-tech 3-D thrill ride. --- courtesy USIOA park map Combining a moving ride with 3-D action and special effects, the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man take guests on a tour of teh Daily Bugle where Peter Parker suddenly encounters evil villains and becomes Spider-Man. This high-tech ride, similar to Back to the Future, includes a simulated 400-foot drop that feels an awful lot like the real thing. --- courtesy of Frommer's '99 Walt Disney World& Orlando guide book Who could have imagined in the early 1980's that there would be a ride this thrilling and technologically advanced. Probably no one. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man combines the simulation of Back to the Future, the 3-D effect of T2: 3D - Battle Across Time, and the motion capabilities of Countdown to Extinction all into one 100 million dollar plus state-of-the-art thrill machine. Guests are taking a tour of the Daily Bugle when the evil characters suddenly block our path. Peter Parker changes into Spider-Man and trys desperately to protect us. These incredibly powerful vehicles jerk us around, and in one point, riders are spinning violently through the underground. The special effects are jaw-dropping, to say the least. The 400-ft sensory drop is the best conclusion to any non-roller coaster ride in the world. Even if you can't follow the storyline (which is relatively easy), you still will be astouned by this surrealistic world within the world's most amazing theme park. --- courtesy of Florida's Theme Parks Online |
