Moving to Bogor
Moving to Bogor
January 9, 2004 will go down as an official Jochum family day of
memorial. For on this day we packed up the truck and moved to
Bogor.
The above picture shows the typical way of moving in Indonesia. There was
a trap on top of the truck but a lot of our stuff got soaked.
Seth traveled to Bogor with all his pets. Uncle Beazly (the
big turtle) is in the white bag on top of the smal fish tank which
also has the two smaller Brazilian turtles. Next to that is the blue bucket
with the crab Seth caught at the beach. This crab survived the trip but later
died in Bogor - perhaps due to the heat. 
This is the shot of the entrance way into our house after everything was unload. and below is a photo of what it looked like a few days later. The front area is the traditional "Tamu Room "(or Guest Room) where you sit with visitors. On he other side of the shelves is our living room and by the window is the dinning room table.
The following picture is Kerrie's way of expressing that universal feeling everyone gets when it comes time to move.
