Simon's Story
I am Simon. I took the opportunity to visit China as an English teacher at China University of Geosciences in the city called Wuhan. During my six-month stay, I learned a great deal about the culture, history, language, customs and traditions. This was possible through the interactions with cooperative students. Traveling allowed me to see the cultural differences amongst different provinces. I also had a chance to meet many many friendly people. Their kind support and warm hospitality will not be forgotten.
My Students I am so proud of all my students. I witnessed their gradual academic improvement and their developing interest in the usage of the internet.
Thinking about traveling abroad? Teaching in China was a worthwhile endeavor and I strongly encourage those who dreamt of working abroad to "just go for it!"
SINCERE THANK YOU
to everyone in Council for International Exchange;
to all foreign teachers I met in Beijing from the US, Europe, Australia, and elsewhere;
to teachers and students at China University of Geosciences; and
to everyone else.
