| My Advice Life is tough, we all have come to realize Thats why taking some good advice might be wise Don't procrastinate, it only causes sweat on your brow Don't feel sorry for yourself, it's not allowed Know who you are and love yourself just the same Don't make excuses, we all know most of them are lame Appreciate your family, they will be a part of you for all time Get to know them, don't let your cowardly ways make you blind Although they are imperfect and weak Just love them, and have a compassionate sound when you speak Don't hold a grudge, its like mold, it will only increase in size Then it will overwhelm you, the same is with lies Be honest, it will always set you free... From the prison of guilt inside you and me Forgive like you would like to be forgiven, And don't let anyone keep you from daringly living Remember the good deeds done unto you Not the torture others have put you through Be the friend, you hope for in another Sometimes thats all someone needs, a soul sister or brother Dont follow the model of the prom queen, or Quarterback star Follow the One who died for you, for he loves you the way you are Sing each song loud, and don't care who might see Fill up your lungs that allow you to breathe Treat each person equal, for you are no better Write an old best friend from highschool a friendly letter Just remember you have control of your own rise or fall You determine if tomorrow you will be happy, you make the call |
