Rhodes' Memorial - 2 February 2000 -

A (Real) Tourist
This is the front of a Memorial to Cecil John Rhodes, who I believe was the first governor of the Cape Province when it was still a British Colony. I'm probably wrong, but he was something like that. This memorial is built into the slope of Table Mountain (the side of it), so you can see it from quite far away. Over our left shoulders - that patch of blue water is Cape Town Harbour and Bloubergstrand. (cold water - Atlantic ocean). The buildings are suburbs of Cape Town. The city is blocked by Table Mountain.
