Hotel Formule Inn - Pretoria, Sunday 22 November, 1998
We had an extremely stressful day- we left Johannesburg the Sunday morning after sleeping off the effects of the final Janet concert, and EVERYONE'S claws were out that day and we were all snapping at each other. When we arrived in Pretoria we couldn't find a hostel that would give us beds to sleep in because we were SOUTH AFRICAN (and they only want international visitors- the nerve!). Eventually, we got two rooms at a Formule Inn, which had just opened and were having an opening special of 'R99 per room'- so 3 beds, R33 each, which worked out R2 cheaper than a hostel anyways! :) But then things got compliacated because we were actually FOUR travelling, so we had to rent a whole extra room for Kashif because he didn't believe that the fourth person could just crawl through the window... *sigh* no Ahmed blood in him, that's the problem! ;)
So the 3 of us decided to do some de-stressing and put on Madonna's HIDEOUS HIDEOUS Shanti Ashtangi song (#7 on the RAY OF LIGHT CD), set the camera's timer, and proceeded to do some meditating a la Sieraaj & Riedwaan...
