BROWN  EYES CRYING IN THE RAIN

Though it was years and years ago I still feel pain,
When I remember my Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
Didn't mean to hurt her, but that's what I did,
When I took Blue Eyes in her stead.

The years have come and the years have gone.
Blue Eyes left me long ago and I am all alone.
 I'm standing here  by myself tonight.
Oh how alone I am, underneath this starry light.

Tonight I remember Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
Tonight my broken heart feels all the pain.
Oh how my face the tears do stain,
As I remember, Brown Eyes crying in the rain.

If I could but live my life again,
You would never hear that old refrain,
About Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
I'd never choose Blue Eyes again.

My Brown Eyes died of sorrow.
So I can't go back on the morrow
And tell Brown Eyes it is her I love.
Can't tell my Brown Eyes it is her I love.

Don't leave your Brown  Eyes crying in the rain,
Or my friend, you too will feel the pain,
As you remember Brpwn Eyes crying in the rain.
 True love once lost,  will never be again.
