SUMMER DREAM

Wafted through the night on a warm summer breeze,
Up high, oh so very-very high,
Your lilting laughter still rustles in the lofty leaves.
I can still hear your sweet sigh,
Carried to me, by the soft summer breeze.
Through the darkness of the night,
I can still hear your sweet sigh.
Sad it tis, that dreams fade with the coming light.

A SINGLE RED CARNATION

Tis only A Single Red Carnation,
In a plain old water glass.
A toast to you, my lovely lass,
A Single Red Carnation.

To the fairest love in all creation,
A single Red Carnation

THE GARDEN GATE

Oh my darling Mary Kate!
I'm waiting here by the garden gate.
Do not tarry, do not wait!
Come join me by the garden gate.

I have a tear in my eye and an ache in my heart.
Come on down to the garden gate,
My darling Mary Kate.
Neither heaven nor hell shall keep us apart,
My dearest darling, Mary Kate!
