FADED OLD PHOTOS
BY: mitch 16 Dec. 1999
Looking at old photos of relatives and friends,
Just faded old photos in an old box,
Of those who've gone to meet their heavenly ends,
Just faded old photos in a ragged old box.

Sister  and Brother,
Dear Mother and Dear Father,
Grandmother and Grand Father,
Just old faded photos in a ragged old box.

They belong to the past and have met their ends,
Faded old photos in an old box.
No more time in this vale of tears must they spend,
Just faded old photos in a ragged old box.

My eyes have grown dim and I have grown old,
Looking at those faded photos which are so old..
I try to remember the stories they told,
Just faded old photos in a ragged old box.

Soon I too will be - just one of those photos so old,
All tattered, yellowed, and old,
In that black box trimmed in gold,
Just faded old photos in a ragged old box.

As I sit here waiting for the day I die,
I can't help but wonder...

Will my children ever look, sigh, and cry?
Will they ever look in this old box and wonder why,
Their Dad is just a faded old photo in an old box?
Just another faded old photo in a ragged old box!

CRY FOR LOVE

Yesterday I was born,
Today my soul does cry
and
Asks the reason why,
My heart in-two is torn?

In the bed where you used to lie,
There is an empty spot
and
If I could but have my way today,
Loneliness would not be my lot.

Perhaps there is hope for tomorrow,
That I will find the reason why
And
No more sadness, no more sorrow,
For tomorrow I will die!
