At McGilvray House, you can sit on the big front porch and just relax. The property is fenced all around and has many plants, flowers and trees. In season, help yourself to pears, apples and apricots. You can choose to eat outside on the deck, which is equipped with a picnic table and barbecue. |

Take a short stroll down into town. Browse through the bookstore, antique stores and gift shops. Sample our famous apple pie or have an old-fashioned ice cream sundae. Horse drawn carriages are available for area tours. The Town Hall Calendar directs you to special events, such as the bicycle races, fiddle contests and arts and crafts shows. In the fall, special Apple Days activities are scheduled every weekend. Outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the many bike trails and hiking and fishing at nearby Lake Cuyamaca. |
