Everything Is Under Construction
      We came to TCI a few years ago and everything was under construction. We were very disappointed when we came back a few weeks ago to see that almost nothing has changed. When we were driving around, we saw that almost every resort had construction happening around it. We were disturbed alot from this building construction and the noise pollution. We thought it was very funny, that after 4 years, we remembered some unfinished houses and they are still like that.

      The Turks & Caicos Islands are still mostly in an unfinished state and it looks more like destruction then construction from some of the buildings. We think it will be like this for many many years to come.

      After reading the message about the fires, we smelled tires and plastic garbage being burned. When we went to a fast food place downtown, it was all we could smell. My wife almost threw up it was that bad.

      It is also true about the drinking and driving. We took a jitney and the driver was literally drinking a Heinekin Beer while driving and thought nothing of it. When we noticed that, we asked to get out right there. We saw too many cars on the side of the road that have been mangled up.

      We will never return to the Turks & Caicos Islands ever again and we are very pleased to see people are actually making an effort to help people avoid making the worst vacation mistake they could ever make.
