Our TCI Wedding
      When I was in the Turks and Caicos Islands, I got married. Regardless of all that went wrong. I am still glad I got married. That just means, I didn't care what happened as long as I married my wife.

      The ceremony was suppose to be at 6:00PM. The justice of the peace Leonora Missick didn't show up until around 7:00 and people were actually waiting for her to show up. When she did get there, it was slam bam done. She didn't even say my name right.

      We also had a photographer from the island take our pictures and video. We only got about 3 good photos out of the entire shoot and the rest were tremendously out of focus. The video has the person talking to another person right through the short ceremony.

      A local did my wife's make-up and hair for her. My wife was shocked to see that her face was plastered with make-up. The islander actually did her make-up as if she had black skin. My wife has very fair skin so this looked bizarre on her.



To make this even worse, for the catering, we ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate roses on it. We got a white cake with colored roses and a very very heavy glaze that wouldn't even stay on the cake. The food we had catered from another place mixed up on the order as well. We ordered fresh veggie like carrots, cauliflower and broccoli with a dip, but we got a bag of frozen vegetables that had been thawed.       I am so glad to be married, but I wish I actually had good memories of the wedding.
