Desiree Devlynne Darling is my alias and has been for a very long, LONG time! Desiree is the name I chose back from my D&D days of old (figurines, dice and lots of imaginative dungeon maps & ingenius dungeonmasters). Devlynne is my beloved brother's alias (feminized of course from Devlin) ~~ may he rest knowing how much I love him truly ~~ and Darling came about because I was using it too much *LOL* its one of my favorite and most used ways to "virtually hug my friends" ". . . and how are you today darlin?"
While Des is an alias, it is what people really do call me -- its how they meet me, greet me, and yes it does get whispered in my ear *blush*. My life-long friends (most of whom refuse to get on the computer after work) call me Layne -- and I do answer to both ;) I'm no longer a DINK (Dual Income No Kids) as of November, 1997. I'm Single Again for the first time (ttthhhppppppttt)! I'm "mommy" to my pets ~~ 2 dogs (an older sheltie mix & a younger purebred sheltie) and a domestic medium hair tuxedo feline kitty ~~ beware of the claws on her! While I can say I've lost 235 lbs (of ex) ... my being Single Again is just beginning.
Music is my main motivator, I like just about everything but have yet to learn the finer points of opera, country or rap (ok so I'm fibbing... I just don't like it! Although there are exceptional pieces with which I find favor). I seem to gravitate towards pop, danceable hip-hop, rhythm/blues/soul, hard rock, soft rock, instrumentals, some movie soundtracks and... the occasional nostalgic! I am eccentric enuf to have alphabetized my CD collection ... sad but true I had that much time on my hands :P
My hobbies include Travel (near/far by plane/boat/car), racing (SCCA: Solo II/Autocross), dancing (freestyle is sexy!), fishing (salmon/trout/tablefare), cooking (cuz da nymphy can COOK darlin!), & a miriad of other fun pursuits when time allows me to enjoy life ;)
