WORLD WAR  II CEMETERIE AND OTHER SITES OF GREEN MOUNTAIN 

    Here  we  concentrate on the interesting places in Jabal Al-Akhdar or "The Green Mountains" and the World War II cemeteries in Tobruk (Two commonwealth and one German). In this  Program the participants will be passing through the historical sites in Libya, like Tocra (Tauchira), Al-Merj (Barca), Gasr Libya, Wadi Al-Kuf, Al-Bayda, Susah (Apollonia), Shahat (Cyrene), Slonta, Tolmeitha (Ptolomais) and Benghazi.

Day 1.  Reception and overnight stay in Benghazi.

Day 2.      Al-Merj, Gasr Libya Wadi Al Kuf and Al-Bayda.In the morning drive to Tobruk via Jabal Al_Akhdar(Green Mountains) with short stopovers at Al-Merj, Gasr Libya and Wadi Al Kuf, to its historical sites and natrural beauties. After lunch at Al_Beida, resume journey. Overnight stay at Tobruk.

Day 3 & 4.  Tobruk & Susa (Apollonia). Sight seeing at Tobruk. Visit World War II cemeteries of the allied and the Axes  power and important sites relating to WW II.    On Day 4 afternoon departure for Al-Beida or Sussa (Apollonia) for overnight stay.

Day 5.Susa (Apollonia) and Shahat (Cyrene). In the morning visit the Hellenistic and Byzantine remains of Sussa (Apollonia) and exmamine  the features and sites of  the rest of the coast. After lunch visit  the Greek and Roman  remains of  Shahat (Cyrene). Return to Al-Bayda for an overnight stay.

Day 6.  Slonta, Wadi Al-Kuf, Tolmeita (Ptolemais), Tokra (Tauchira) and Benghazi.In the morning resume journey towards Benghazi via Slonta to see the ancient Libyan Temple and the scenic Wadi Al-Kuf. Continue journey to  Tolmeitha (Ptolemais and tour its  spectacular Roman remains. After lunch on the beach or at any scenic site, continue journey towards Benghazi with a short stop over at Tocra (Tauchira) Overnight stay  Overnight Stay at Benghazi.

Day 7. Benghazi.A half  day in Benghazi to be spent touring the city and visits some of its  old quarters.Afternoon departure.
