The Czech Republic is situated in the middle of central Europe. It is bounded by Germany on the west, Austria on the south, Slovakia on the east and Poland on the North. The natural border is formed by the Giants Mountains (Krkonose) on the north, the Ore Mountains (Krusne hory) on the north-west, the Bohemian Forrest on the west along the border with Germany, Sumava mountain range on the soouth-west, and Jesneniky and Beskydy on the east. The climate is humid continental with warm summers and pretty cold winters. |
