The stockyards are the hub of daily activities within Tuakau. The yards hold the largest cattle auctions in New Zealand with farmers from all over the region bringing their stock to Tuakau. Anyone is welcome to go and watch the centre's operations, which, for the city dweller, are curiously fascinating.
