Avalanche Gulch early in the morning with Red Banks (12,900ft) on the top. Willie took off at 3:30am while Adrian and I started at 4:00am. It took us 3 hours and 40 minutes to reach Red Banks from Helen Lake..
Dana hiked up on Avalanche Gulch. This picture was taking at 4:30am.
8:00am. Winds was 60mph. Visibility was decreasing every minutes. Adrian and I took refuge behind a rock at Red Banks. We sat and waited for the wind to die down. But it did not. I was cold. I was not able to feel my fingers. My body was shaken. "Should we continue on ? " Adrian asked. "Yes". I said.
