Northern Thailand- December 1998
After my flight landed in Mae Hong Sorn, a small city locates north of Thailand, near Burma border, I backpacked to town searching for shelter. I found a bungalow. I decided to stay at this place because it had a lovely view from the window, flowers, trees, birds singing.
MaeHongSorn has a nickname- The valley of Mist. I was attracted by this nickname so I went to this remote place instead of one of those famous beach in the Southern of Thailand.

Very early in the morning, before the sun rise, I hiked up to the hill. The town was still sleeping when I got there. Fog covered the whole city. There is something mysterious about the atmosphere.
At first, I was so excited to get on the elephant. Then I was wishing that I would have a pillow, an umbrella, and a cold drink.
