After gallavanting through the Rainforests of Northern Queensland and 4-wheeling through the Outback of Australia's Northern Territory, Chris, Paul and Eddie returned to Melbourne and shared their last bru-ha-ha with us. Unfortunately (maybe fortunately for them!) we have no photos of our time with Ed and Paul, but we were able to take a few during the remaining few days that we had alone with Chris.
We stuck around Melbourne and surrounds, so that Chris could get a feel for our "hometown", so to speak. I mean, we don't have to cross the outback to get to our flat, and there are certainly no Kangaroo in OUR backyard.
One evening after dinner
at a great Lebanese restaurant, we went to Treasury
Gardens for the "Rooney feed the possums" tour.
Chris was more entertainment than the possums! I don't
think he's as comfortable around wild animals as we are,
even if those "wild" animals are city dwellers! --You weren't supposed to give him the whole apple, Chris! |
A few minutes later, Mike shows Chris how it's done, and how NOT scary these furry little guys are. |
Of course, I had to get in on the action too. This is the only place we allow ourselves to feed the wildlife (since they'll get worse from the bin(s) anyway), so I have to get my fill of the "petting zoo" when I can get it!
