The grapes were taken
to a small crusher and crushed. The juice was then stored
with the skins and some stems for about a week (varying
time = varying flavor) and then pressed and separated
from the pulp and skins (we didn't get to see this
part--frown). |

After
the picking, we had a wonderful dinner...preceded of
course by a little wine-tasting. Here Mike compares a
Bowen Estate Cab Sauv (which we brought with us) to
previous vintages of the Gwynneth Estate wines...

Behind
the scenes, Adrian and Gwynneth (and family) 's
accomodation is in the true Aussie style...a stationary
caravan! How perfect! They are working on a more upscale
cottage to replace the caravan...but for now it's
function over form!
